Damon has been leading engaging sightseeing tours of Portland, Oregon, since 2005, combining his passion for history with a talent for storytelling. His expertise in entertaining groups was first cultivated while performing as a busker across Europe. A dedicated history enthusiast, he describes himself as an "edu-tainer," blending education and entertainment to create dynamic, insightful, and memorable tour experiences.
Heather has a diverse background in real estate, urban management, and the performing arts. She has worked as a professional costumer and wardrobe supervisor for large-scale ice skating productions, co-managed a performance theater, and played an active leadership role in both a PTA and Girl Scouts. A dedicated traveler and tour enthusiast, Heather has explored cities and landscapes through a variety of guided experiences—from a boat ride along the Seine to a vintage bus tour through Yellowstone, a retro trolley in Melbourne, a walking tour in Charleston, and a food tour in Puerto Vallarta. However, her all-time favorite? Damon’s Portland Views and News tour!
Damon and Heather each traveled and lived abroad before coming home to Oregon. They enjoy hosting guests and exploring places that are new to them.
Together they started Peak Tours and Transit to deepen meaningful engagement with their community, and to share Portland, Oregon, beyond the headlines.
