Damon has been giving guided sightseeing tours in Portland, Oregon, since 2005. He has a Master's Degree in Theatre and is a history buff. He brings fun and fascinating facts to his dynamic tours.
Heather has helped launch and/or run several small businesses through the years, including a performance theatre and a dog walking venture. She loves guided sightseeing tours, and her favorites have been in a boat on the river Seine, on a retro trolly in Melbourne, in a helicopter over Maui, on a bus through Yellowstone National Park, and on Damon's downtown Portland walking tour! She most recently enjoyed a tour of Charleston, SC, with Brian of Charleston Sole.
Damon and Heather traveled and lived abroad before coming home to Oregon. They enjoy hosting guests and exploring new places.
Together they started Peak Tours and Transit to deepen meaningful engagement with their community, and to share Portland, Oregon, beyond the headlines.

Peak Tours and Transit provides heartfelt guided sightseeing tours and reliable group transit in and around Portland, Oregon. We offer unique tours to interest even lifetime residents of our community. We are family-owned and operated and try to partner with other local businesses to help strengthen our city. Our goal is to provide excellent, personalized service.
Our Mission
To engage customers with an entertaining and educational tour experience; and by divulging knowledge of, and exposure to, the unique beauty this region, we hope to help inspire visitors to aid in the preservation of all land.

Matt Haynes, Walking Tour Guide (also known as "Mattsquatch")
After spending his early adult life in Spain, China, cities on the east coast and northern California, Matt moved to Portland in 2004, because rumor has it, his family lore claims Sasquatch lineage. As a creator and educator, Matt has enjoyed Portland's thriving arts scene and has never wanted leave these last 18 years.
If he were to sum up Portland, Matt would say: "This city is my perfect Goldilocks bowl of porridge. Not too hot. Not too cold. Not too big. Not too small. Season this with a whole bunch of creativity, add some quirk, and the world of this place is juuuuust right."
Matt has petitioned the Guinness Book of World Records to be named the World's Tallest Tour Guide. At least he is Portland's. Matt says if another guide wants to challenge his claim, he welcomes the opportunity for a "tall off!"
